Whats the easiest and best way to remove old bearing cups without screwing up the frame? ;)

I personally use a 1/2" brass rod that is nice and flat on one end with a brass hammer. Just hold that rod tight and whack away! They usually pop out with a few good whacks!

I used to use a T handle 10mm allen wrench with about 1/2 duct tape around it and make sure it's against the cup not bearings and wack it. Then I spent the $30 on a Park bearing/headset remover and now I spend all day wacking my cups in and out......seriouslly buy this tool it makes life so easy.

I use a brass punch as well. It will get them out with little marking on the cups.

I use a 19mm Deep impact socket and a 1/2 inch extension. Place impact inside bb against inner ring and a few sharp blows from a hammer on the extension. Ping! they will pop out.

Holy shit.....Posted Image. This has to be a record for the oldest post ever revived. I had to remove the cobwebs from my screen.
