Nope hasn't been posted. I don't think that it has seen the light of day in years. Lee's basement smokes probably 80% of most bike shows. It is just sick. Everytime you go over he is more dialed. His JMC's alone are gross. Don't even bring in all the rest. His Reynolds Quad pretty much can't be beat in my book. My parts tend to show up here and there.

Pits are cool if they are actually rideable. Lee has a 44T on 180's on that pit and look at that clearance. Did Jim Melton know what was up? Yeah just a little.

yup thats one of Lee's newer additions -- DC aquistion -- very nice - color scheme resembles the Cook bros. pit that floats about and maybe Snorty's pit a tad bit --- but thats got signature Lee build written all over it ... like i said very nice

and yes JMC pits are true PIT RACERs - not these scaled down 16" bmx tike bikes people always try to pass-off as PIT RACERs, with absolutely no ground clearance w/need for 135mm crank to be ridden or a 13" toptube were your knees will split your chin should you dare try to ride it .... JIM was so in tune and so far ahead of the game, it can only be considered true genius, the man was a artist !

Yeah, that's Lee's of course. It was DC's. It was DC's before it was DC's. That's DC squared. Chan by Connonetz. Lee said that only JMC's, CW's, and GT's were really built to be ridden by bigger guys. I think maybe his CBR was built in that vein too, but it is an odd bird. I put my CW up to JMC #17 (Carbiz' now). The bb height is about the same. Lee mentioned that the JMC's wheelbase is a bit bigger than the CW's. The only problem I've had with the CW's short wheelbase is that the front end is super light. That has a lot to do with the layback post on it. Notice that all of Lee's pits have a straight post on them. He isn't a big fan of my C-dub post, but I wouldn't have it any other way. My Mitygoose it gonna have a big ole layback on it. I can't wait.

YUP a JMC PIT frame is the last bit i seek in this game - guess you would consider that a grail aquistion ..... sit patiently in wait - as all her bits have long since been aquired (someday maybe)

as for the pit thing ---- 16" bikes are 16" bikes - true 16"PITs are a class all they're own ---- and Lee's is a gorgeous example .......

a few of the newer school companies followed the true pit design in recent years

Kappa
Brew
Stupercross
to name a few ....

Tom's (k.i.w.) little skyway project came out amazing -- got to see her at Rock this past yr and it truly was off the chains - made with the true PIT specs kept in mind - whoever now owns it should consider himself lucky, the workmanship was top notch ..... and the f/f structural integrity wasn't lost since the tubing was only shortened at the ends to scale her down and not chopped in the middles with sections removed and then reconnected ..... shes a worthy racer/jumper/rider !

Thanks greyboy, I'm not sure of it's history. I'm going to contact Jim Melton to get the full scoop.

Thanks, Bro. You're thirst for high-octane beverages is topped only by your thirst for anything JMC. It'll be at Rockford, along with my trusty Standard long. You going to do some more "impaired" curb endo's again next year?!

Add Gary Littlehjohn to the list of rideable pits. Can't wait to see how the Mitygoose turns out, Kyle.

Thanks again, Dr. F. A JMC cruiser is next on my list... Know much about those? :24:

I think the pit you guys are referring to was Kip's (aka Towerguy). My buddy Robyn here in Denver swooped on that one. It's awesome, but it musta' hurt a little to chop up a nice frameset.

Quad is comming along good..wish i could have bought the black/gold pads off ya, but i didn't have the loot or the trade bait to snag them from you...always next time!!! There is a handful of guys that i have bought and traded with over the past years and are DYING to meet at rockford...Lee, you are on of those guys!!! You always put a little more to go over the edge with your builds.

Thanks, Spur. I've been looking for a JMC pit for about 5 years now. After several failed attempts, I finally snagged one.

Yeh, I'll get a Camo padset one of these days. Pat W., aka STR-1 really likes how my Quad came together. It'll probably land in his lap at some point.

I hope you can make it to Rockford in '07. It would be great to tip a Mt. Dew with you. I'd really like to see that Phaze and Direct Link in person, too.
