HEY JUSTIN .......................you ever get this bike yet?
let us know the numbers.
let us know the numbers.
It just so happens that it arrived this morning. There is a few problems with some components not seeming to be what was advertised though. I might have to send the whole darn thing back, who knows....
(said to have Tuf neck, but there is no stamp on stem, "JMC Bars" don't quite look like real JMC to me... etc..)
I haven't actually pulled the frame from the box yet, but I'll let you know when I do. .... and if I end up keeping it, I'll probably sell the frame.... any interest?
Justin, That's a cool bike you've picked up there. I had an eye on it on the 'bay...Sounds like you have a first generation Tuf-Neck -they were unstamped. Show us some more pics of your bike as it's hard to completely tell what's what with the one pic you posted. Somebody around here will I.D. those bars for you. Hang in there bud....KEEP THE WEBCO FAITH! :32:

Not sure of the year but sure that 1. It is a cool (aftermarket) modified mild steel Webco frame and 2. that it is not a factory issued frame. i went through a whole lot of publications and the name is not associated with a Webco factory rider.

Hm. Very interesting designs. The prototype... it seems like the shock wouldn't have any travel with the way the post is welded in there between the "non break bridge" (what would be a break bridge if they had used something besides coasters) and the lug behind the bottom bracket. I guess the rear triangle could swivel on that behing the bb hinge allowing the whole rear triangle to move up and down a bit.

Justin,
Why don't you call him and find out the story. Only two towns listed, should be easy to get a number. There's a number available in Lakewood from whitepages.com

Maybe Kurt V Epp is actually Kurt Van Epp. Could be a Euro as the company got big over there.
It also looks like it has more stamped on the BB maybe clean it up a bit to read it better.
The stamp could be post production. Or maybe it was a Webco/ co factory rider or finally maybe they had sponsored a Bike shop team.
My only story with Webco is around 77 a friend said he knew a kid that had a "real" bmx bike, unlike our modified Schwinn Sting Rays.
He lived in our town but a longggg bike ride from us as we all lived in the country. The kid had moved to Pennsylvania from California.
His bike when we saw it was stunning. He said he raced it in Cal. It was a white Webco frame with white Redline forks. He had Blue Vbars and rims I think. For some reason (probably cause none of us could drive and he lived so far and was my sisters age I think) we didnt become close friends.
I cant for the life of me remember his name. But that was the first real BMX bike I ever saw. Since none of knew what real BMX was or ever heard of NBA etc, I never asked him what class he raced or what his home track etc was.
