My wife works for an interior decorating company. They are being courted by a new fast-rising design graphics company in the Cleveland area who would like to offer GIANT-SIZED posters and/or mural wallpaper technology to my wifes company.

As a type of 'look what we can do for you' offering, the company asked my wife to send them a picture, any picture, and they will do their magic on it - free! So last night my wife said, "I was telling my boss (the owner of her company) about those nice bike pictures you had taken, and he thought it sounded like the perfect thing to send to the graphics company."

So I gave her my DVD-ROM of all the pics from that day and told her boss and her to select whichever one they wanted. The finished product will be 3-foot x 5-foot on heavy canvas stock. I'm super-excited!

This is the picture she and her boss selected:

I would have picked a different one too, but they said they liked the picture for the vertical"ness" of it (compared to all the others).

Hey, it's free, right? :)

Is this something you can offer the rest of us? Or is this just for your wife's company pics?

Not sure yet Astro. My wife has to drive to Cleveland next Wednesday to meet with the companies management. They will give her the finished picture at that time.

I will ask my wife more about it (cost, etc) tonight...

Actually, a mural wallpaper of a cool old picture would be kinda sweet!

Got the finished poster last night. Looks awesome! Super-clear. You can read the rear hub decal and see every whisker on the tires! Check it out...heavy duty canvas ready for framing:

Believe it or not I have one of those types of printers in my apartment. My girlfriend is a graphic designer, she works from home and uses it to print posters and stuff, photo quality. I think it prints 3 foot wide by about as long as you want because the paper comes on a big roll. One of these days I'd like to use it to do prints of my paintings.
