nice build but i prefer with landing gear.

DEFINITELY needs Landing Gear!

The Bicycle Source... didn't a relative of Buffs work there, Potts? I remember the POTTS MOD... fore-runner of the gyro

One thing I would rather have seen on a retro - PK would be the original way the rear triangle tied into the frame below the seat post - a lot different in that respect.

I'm working on getting LG's with 990 mounts, Steve Potts is Mike Buff's brother and Steve owned the shop. I worked there with Steve when he came up with the Potts mod for Buff's bike.

Looks awesome!

That picture is so 80's freestyle. I wish I was one of the folks in that pic. Awesome shot.

That is a great shot & is now my wallpaper. I can remember a few rather classic shots of you too Woody.

Just curious - Buff rode both Tuffs and Z-rims.

Which did he prefer?

Awesome build, BTW. Coming along beautifully. Let me know when I should give you my address for shipping...

The ones that paid him more.. LOL

He preferred spoked wheels, they were easier to bunny hop with.

Here's the latest pic, I changed the seat out for the lightning bolt one, I finally got a set of the baby blue PK RIPPER decals which will go on this weekend. It's looking like I will have to have some 990 bosses welded on a set of LG's, no luck on getting factory forks.

Good answer (lol).

On that note, did ACS or Skyway ring him and say "Hey, ride our stuff and we'll pay ya..." or did Buff get his pic in a magazine with one wheel set or another, and then call those guys saying "Yo - I made BMXA on your rims. Pay up, suckas..."

I always wondered about this stuff.

Can't wait to see the bike with the decals!

I always wondered the same thing about other riders with conflicting (parts) Sponsors.

Example: You'd see RL smiling / advertising for DiaCompe brakes in BMXA and FSN' - , then flip the page and there he is advertising ACS brakes

:)

Well, I finally got the LG's and installed them. The bike rides really good, all it needs is the number plates and decals which I should have completed in the next week or two then this baby will be going up for auction.

Here are a couple more pics, I test road the bike today and it feels real solid. Once I get the number plates on it's off for photo shoots then this baby is going to the highest bidder.
