I've had this bike in pieces for a few years. never got around to putting it together until now. Wheels were the major hold up - but I just decided to use these Redline 48's I had. Winter bike blues got me building with what I have here.

Changed out a few parts from the vanilla stock parts. But it's All original finish / decals etc. I love this Mongoose color. It just screams 1987. I need to go dig up an old Shark Watch or a Swatch - and ride this thing around.

Only thing left to do is add some Axle Pegs. I'm thinking white or silver Odyssey Hollow Bullets all around.

Those 48's came out in 87-88 - they came with the non-high-end RL freestyle bikes - since the RL 20II came with Peregrine wheels. Probably the RL20-A and 20-B.
They're far from Low end though - they're stamped Araya 7x's. - with Sealed Joytech hubs - Just about identical to the 1st Peregrine/Suzue hubs.

Actually - nope. It's not the one I got from you.
I ended up buying/trading 3 of these over time to get one this nice. then sort of lost energy for the project. But I'm pretty happy to finally have this one together. I think it will fit in nicely with the baby blue trick star and pink Pro Freestyle Tour.
