Okay - I'll go again.

Check out this killer pic of Martin Aparijo - doing the reverse walkover - in the hey day of 1986.

This bike is incredible. Chrome 86 Pro Performer with the (scarcely seen) bright neon orange bars, forks, and seat post.
Great purple bits including Shinko GT tires.

Fitted with a Gyro and Power Series cranks (introduced in 86 for the 87 GT bikes). With my favorite KKT SMX pedals.

Martin's running a few of his famous (innovative and semi-confusing) freestyle modifications - The upside down double framestander on the rear dropouts. As well as the extra brake lever on the bars positioned vertically to assist with bar rides. I love seeing stuff like this.

Bob Haro ripping it up on a GJS.... (around 81?)
May or may not have been posted before - but it's good enough to show again.

I just found an old pic I took of flatlanding madman Craig LePaige doing his signature move "The LandSpeeder" (a dropped-super-low forward side glide - at high speed).

I shot this photo around 1990-91 at a contest in New Jersey.
He was sponsored by Peregrine. Enjoy the 35mm.

That's awesome Jay! Good eye!

Yeah - I think I missed half of the contest just watching Mark Eaton and Kevin Jones riding on the opposite side basketball courts. Their practice was more interesting to see than the dialed routines of the contest. I recall Chase Gouin being there too - whipping hyper speed through the super crowded practice area - wearing only boxers and shin pads. :)

Nice!
Good stuff guys!

I love that shot of Martin doing a Locomotive in 88.
For all the wild colored bikes he rode over the years - it' was actually kinda cool to see him rock a simple Black and Chrome GT for once.

-----------------

Here's a shot of Chris Day (General/Life's A Beach) ripping up a flail-boomerang in 87-88.

RL... must have been super goose test. Snagged this off the Ed Koenning blog. It didn't have a date attribution for this issue.

Great shot though. Couldn't pass it up.

A fun shot from 1988, Brett Hernandez riding a prototype Pro Compe (with the odd cable-thru-downtube feature).

I don't think I shared these photos in this thread before. (I hope).

These are a few shots from a pre-winter ride in Jersey last year.
We found a little skate park in the pine barrens - And I got to take the GT out for some fresh air. :)
