From my understanding Mike Mayberry was to handle the marketing & management of the team while Dave Gersten was in charge of all fabrication for Blazer. (An interesting side note, Dave also manufactured the electronic starting gates for the ABA as well.)
After reading a lot of other forums regarding Blazer, Mike makes a lot claims that don't necessarily add up, here's a few factual and questionable statements he was quoted saying: Blazer made frames only, none where available in chrome, all where painted except 10 copper-plated frames, never used the single "B" as a head tube decal or logo, no pad sets or any other product bearing the Blazer name and besides being friendly with Bernie Anderson, Blazer in no way was ever connected with Rebel Racing.
From what I can gather Dave & Mike eventually had a falling out and went their separate ways, now considering Dave owned all the tooling and jigs for the frames, i believe it was at that point he either sold the company or partnered up with Bernie Anderson to keep Blazer going. This is probably the time period where Mike also claims someone was going around selling and manufacturing "fake" Blazer frames.

Can anyone help verify / date these cruiser bars? They measure 29x7 and have knurling for the stem. I'm not sure if they are truly Rebel bars or if they are old or mid school. I don't remember where I picked these up but they appear to be NOS.- Bob

Rebel/Blazer distributor catalog. This is no longer in my hands so these pics are all I have left of it. Problem with your Lil Reb? Just call up Mr. Bruce. Collect! What a trip.

Also, that Blazer dealer decal dubplatestyle posted is from my find and I have another if anyone is interested in it. TrulyOdd has first refusal since he started the thread.

Thank you for posting these, I've been dying to read this ever since I was fortunate enough to purchase the "dealer" decal from you. Mr. Seda do we have an approx. date when this may have been released? Thanks!

wow seda, Posted Imagethat catalog is the business! was there another page with the blazer stuff listed too?

(pm coming on decal).

bob, those bars are interesting. i'm not sure what the are and don't know if Rebel even made cruiser bars. it's definitely possible but i've never seen anything to confirm so. there isn't anything listed in the catalog....although, they don't have any bars listed and they did make pro (CW style...no knurling) and johnny reb bars (V crossbar with knurling). post a close up pic of the knurling on yours and i'll compare it to a set of JR's i have. maybe that'll help.

Thought I would add some of my Rebel Bad Boys to the thread. Rebels have been the bike that I have definitely been completely enamored with since first sight and I have lusted after since.

First up is my OG finish Stick tail General Lee that was the replacement for my first Stick, that I sold regretfully. This addition I was able to move on and move up with a survivor f/f that has Rebel Racing history to go with it. Thanks to a good friend

Next is my 2nd Gen Loop tail General Lee

These are my General Lee's and I will be posting pics of My most personal Rebel and that is my Jonny Reb and really that bike is mine considering we share the same name. Stay tuned for pics just getting them uploaded. Glad to be able to add to this epic thread.

Those gen Is sure look allot like B.B. racing frames ...... I remember seeing the ads bitd, but that was one company I never actually saw back then, not even at nationals in my area. I'm not that brave either that I'd ride that through they towns I grew up in, I probably wouldn't be here to talk right now had I tried. Just saying.

Hell, come to think of it, not many of the brands from there got out to here (or rather got any attention from here)
Blazer, Rebel or ESP racing
