any info would be greatly appreciated and ultimately we would like to score an interview with someone who was close to Chuck to help tell his story for our site.. Grownig up in sothern California, all the cool kids we looked up to were rollin' the R gusset robi looptails. The sticker packages, pads and components were always nice on Robinson's... We as a BMX Club have tremendous respect for what Chuck Robinson did and want to share his story.. Everything helps... here's a link to our site to see what we're about...

Chuck was a good man. We used to sit around and draw things out on bar napkins.
A great innovator.

You are missing the early '87 Jersey, I have a pic somewhere of greg hill wearing it. it matches these graffix.

Think this is gonna be a good story. Chuck seems to have been around a lot of the scene early on. Surprising there is so little info out there.

Big Robinson fan, so I sit waiting....

There's actually a few good old threads about Robinson related issues. Some digging and you will find it. Posted Image

There's also a Robinson section in the U of BMX section... but it's site support access only.

As expected, great info in UofOS. Mostly seemed how to ID bikes...info on Mr Robinson himself seems to be lacking. I hear he was somewhat private, hopefully some cool stories come out.

Love that era of BMX, when it was basically BMX dads and or riders strait grass rootin in the garage. Him, Linn, Rink, Voris, Vance Patterson, Skip, Gary Turner...damn I would have loved to have been in those garages bout 30 years ago...

I love this bike, too and hope to have one myself, one day. I always liked the bikes, parts and look/image of the team.

Robinsons around 80/81/82 were fabricated by Bassett.

The 2nd generation of Bassett frames were made from unused tubes and back ends of unfinished and unpaid for Robinsons, one way to recoup some money from dead stock (I guess) when Chuck Robinson took his manufacture else where.

The forks on the 81/82 staight top tube Bassetts were also the same fat legged straight line drop out Robinson forks.

bassett only made robinson f/f in 80 to early 81 as for old stock laying around there really wasn't much...the 24 bassett frame is really the only frame using robinson parts...ps woody itson was the first rider to have a bassett 24" frame & fork.
