1985 JU Mini

Jeff Utterback side project, less than 200 made

Jeff Utterback had a side project called JU Racing after GJS closed in 1985. He designed approximately 200 of these mini frame and forks for riders under 70 pounds.

They were very light but a tad weak on the upsweep down tube where they would crack. The seat post clamp area had a hole for the GJS seat post clamp. With the limited number available and awesome design I thought I would give the bike a vintage 1979 feel for Jeff's heyday of racing.

Hope you enjoy another historical ride.

1992 Redline Platinum

Only 50 made and this is not numbered making it that much more unique!

Redline celebrated their 20th anniversary, 1972 - 1992, with only 50 Platinum 20" frame, forks, and seat post. Not sure who the marketing guy was at the time but thought Redline started in 1974.

In the early 90's they were experimenting with suspension and to make the Platinum really gnarly they added a Browning adjustable suspension fork.

The fork has three settings, soft, medium, and locked out that are quickly adjusted on top of the stem with a twist. The frame has an integrated seat post clamp, superb USA craftsmanship, and unique Platinum finish.

Frames are numbered 1 through 100 and this frame is unique as it not labeled or has a serial number.

There were fifty 20" frame/forks and 50 MTB frames made.

This was found at a bike shop that had four NOS frame, fork, and seat posts. Decided on the non-labeled frame so here it is with matching original parts.

Thanks for looking at some Redline history!

1998 Torker Pro Cruiser 24

Back in '98 some guys twisted my arm to come out and try racing again. With being a Torker rider all these years then seeing that Steve Veltman was the Pro, I had to get a cruiser. Unfortunately due to Freestyle injuries I couldn't ride and the bike didn't make it to the track. It's been sitting idle the whole time and slapped it back together in 2009 to enjoy again.

Another fine product by TORKER.

1998 Hoffman Evel Knievel

#57 Limited Edition

I may shock a few people seeing something from the 90's but have been a HUGE Mat Hoffman fan ever since I met him back in 1986. As with Mat my first hero was Evel Knievel and had to watch every jump, had the toys, and did crazy jumps on my Stingray then Squareback just like Evel.

When Mat introduced this bike in '98 I thought this was so gnarly and had to get one. Slapped it together and it's been a pleasure to look at for the past 13 years & will enjoy for many more! Sorry guys it has not been ridden so basically NOS out of the box.

2004 Haro Freestyler

This is the first bike to be offered to the public as Bob Haro has #1, 2 and 3 are at Haro Bikes, and #4 is with yours truly. Had to give back #3 as Joe Hawk, Haro VP at the time, wanted it for Haro.

Been riding Haro's since day one and have my original '82 Haro Freestyler modified to be Bob's 1983 BMX PLUS cover shot bike.

The Freestyler was the first and what a great bike it was and is very collectible! To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Haro, Haro Bikes came out with the retro Freestyler. This was a combination of the 2003 Mirra frame/fork, Haro half chrome/paint look in '87, and Haro's awesome graphics.

The bike comes with alloy 48's but made it a little more Old School by throwin' on some retro Skyway Tuff II's with Kool caps to make them look like OS graphites. Shimano DX pedals were added to accent the gold hubs.

Enjoy!!!
