1980 DG Vulcan

This bike has been in the hands of a few members here, I've always lusted after it. Recently I had the opportunity to get it, so I pounced on it. I really was not even contemplating having this done in time for BOTY, but with the help of the members here, I'm really happy with the way it came out. This bike rides so nice! It doesn't just look fast... it IS fast!

I picked up this one this year. just a little Simple Green, and I changed out the seat it was not era correct, along with the post, and the phoney Oakley 3s. Otherwise, this bike could fit in the current Survivor class. I did replace the pads with old stock vinyl stuff I had. The pic in the sunshine with a dog is as found. I like the even fade on the gold parts.

Frame/fork Powerlite 26 original finish
Bars CBR cruiser
Grips Petty
Stem Suntour
Wheels Araya 7x front hub Sunshine/rear ACS
Tires Kenda MNT bike
Seat Jaguar II/With Kashimax guts (the light gold color just fit.)
Post Strong
Clamp Suntour
Brakes Dia Compe 1000/900 D/C levers
Drive Takagi Ultra Dyno 175 44/18 with a KMC chain
Pedals MKS BM-7s
Pads Cycle Pro on stem, the others are no name old stock
