Easiest safest and cheapest way to ship your bike(s) is to call the hotel before you ship them and make sure they have room to store them before you arrive.
We have used Fed Ex in the past to ship bikes to hotels with positive results in the past.
When you are ready to leave, simply put the bike back in the box, put a return shipping label on it and Fed Ex will pick it up at the hotel and drop it back on your doorstep.
Depending on the weight it is between $35-60 from Ny to Cali (each way).

there will be pre-registration... but not for quite a while yet.
