Killer thread Christian.

I had the luck of acquiring this from Roc recently and he was a pleasure to deal with. Dan Gurney Eagle Mono in 'mock build mode' with Redline Nickels, Gurney bars and Eagle mags rollin' on NOS Goodyear Eagle MX's.

I love the 'attitude' of this frame set - the way the top tube leans down toward the the front end.

I know it's is been quit a few months since last post but here is a Newport Eagle I am restoring: Posted Image I got this bike back in 74. My dad bought the frame from some bike shop but did not purchase all the options available and hand made the seat post. The Handle bars are not original; they were bars I wanted so I could be like the bmx racers of the day. I am in the process of restoring it to usable condition with as many original parts as possible.

This thread is a goldmine!!
Now who loves a little more Boing!, in french this time?

1979 Motobecane MX20, first Boing! year for us french kids. These were created by Mr Rakover, who brought back the idea from a trip to the US, it was quite ambitious for our major brand at the time to launch such new things... (well, the concept had been proven ending popular on other parts of the globe..)

Then in 80 and 81, new range in neon colors, every kid here remembers them, they're still "funny headturners" as I always get nice smiles when riding one around..

On a sidenote,we even had a 24" called "Velover" (velo + Rakover) which is often considered on our shores as the ancestor of ATB

These are some of mine:

That A&A is just nails! One of my favorite builds of the last few years.

Cool to see those French bikes too. Those are new ones to me. Thanks for posting those.
