With the swap coming up this weekend at the Bicycle Source, I was thinking about "the quest". Some have been waiting for one part, or bike for years.
So what is it for you? How long have you been looking?
Maybe it will turn up, either at the swap or someone will just spot your mention of it here and it will happen.
This is not a general want list thread. Mention only the special... not the mundane. Don't put a request for stuff that does turn up. In other words, don't tell us you've always wanted an 82 GT pro. They turn up regularly. Don't tell us about your request for a fat skinny yellow label comp III that you've been after for 6 weeks.
Save your most sought after for this thread. What have you been on a real quest for?
what's the missing piece to your BMX puzzle?

early cook bros 3 bar 26 cruiser.
been waiting on the right one for the past decade, og paint and decals preferred. i've had 2 within reach that fit the bill but both times i was so broke i couldn't pull the trigger.
now of course the cost is out of this world so me thinks i'll be waiting a while longer.

Super Cheetah frame - ha! I suspect I will never find one of these.

while not "uber popular" it is seemingly hard to find my og bike that I sold back 7 years or so ago:
a Schwinn Chrome sx1000 with Matching forks "the competition model"
Ugh sold it for like 70 bucks.
Haven't seen one for sale since.

GJS Pads
-----
And I did find a set of those 1st Gen High-flange DK hubs (took me a handful of years to find).
But in the long searching process, I bought a single rear hub as well (paid way too much, and it's sitting here with no mate)...
So keep your eye out for a front DK hub. Either to match up with mine here, or to suggest to the owner that you know where a rear hub can be acquired. It would be nice for this fine looking / scarce hub to meet it's match, whether it's in my possession or not.

I think I've found everything. I may not own it, but I've seen it for sale.
The one thing I'd love to find is my old first-gen Boss (chrome plated Patterson). It was stolen in 1981.
