1981 NOMURA
Here is my 26 " Nomura. It was built on Oct.12,1981 as part of the 4th batch-the
last- built as 26" frames. There was only (45) 26 inch cruiser frames made and only 17 exist today. Of the (45) 26 inch cruiser made, 7 of them where Original Black anodized.

Out of 7 black anodized bikes there is only 3 known exist and mine is one of them.
In Chandler Arizona during a National championship race, Wade himself, raced my Nomura at least once and was confirmed by Bob Matherly and Wade Nomura. This bike was typically used as a backup factory rider bike.

My bike originally came with the factory rider head badge decal and the ultra rare “rainbow " Nomura decal that went on the seat post tube. Wade only made one batch of these decals; a majority of the factory riders did not like them so they were never installed! Only three Nomura’s are documented to have these rainbow decals on them and mine is 1 of the 3.

Wade and Ernie Ballard along with other factory riders raced this cruiser. Later Wade sold the frame to a Phoenix bike shop called Bicycle Harbor. Around 1982 my good friends high school buddy purchased this bike from Bicycle Harbor and owned it ever since! I purchased the bike from him.

1981 Prodyne 26" cruiser

As Thornton states above these are very rare with between 9 - 11 currently accounted for. This one came from a very nice guy named Allen in Azusa, CA. Allen was a friend and ex-employee of Larry Barker the owner/designer of Prodyne. Allen received this frame directly from Larry and stored it in a box on and off for the past 30 years. The frame was built up once before I bought it from Allen. I received the frame with the extremely rare Prodyne seat post clamp installed. This frame is all original paint and decals with serial number and american bottom bracket.

I just completed this build. I hope you guys like it.

1979 Champion 26" cruiser

This is a early Champion 26" cruiser (double downtube). I bought this frame from a fellow member of this site. It was sold to me as an NOS frame that was raw with no finish. I have always wanted one of these and since it was raw finish I figured I might as well have it chromed. So I spent about three weeks at night after work sanding and polishing to get the frame ready for chrome. I then took the frame down to Dave at Bush Polishing and Chrome in Garden Grove, CA for a new chrome job. Dave used to do chrome for many of the top BMX brands back in the day. This is when the fun began, tracking down all the parts I needed for this cruiser. Anyway I finally finished this bike earlier this year.

I hope you guys like my build.

I can't find the GT 26" forks so I have a great pair of Johnny "True Torch" Severin Classic 26" forks.
