This is the comment and discussion thread. Each year we maintain a special thread designated for comments about the bikes and event. If you want to make comments on the BOTY submissions, let's try to keep them in this thread. Feel free to chat it up and post links to what you are oggling, but let's keep the submission and voting threads clutter free. This will be pinned to the top of the BOTY forum.

Chromey -- that GJS is... well... chromey. I like the Profile/Sugino A5 combo. Nice "outside the box" combo that works well.

Thanks so much guys.

This one is my "Chrome" flagship. I bundle of bananas parts that I've been storing up over the years. Getting the fork made this all happen.

I'm actually super stoked on the Sugino A-5 spider (they're not often used) but the graphic design and use of black lines is SO similar to the GJS, tattered Hutch Pro seatpost coin - and the VDC decals. it's like all these weird parts were meant for each other.

Thanks Lee for lacing up the wheels :)

Man the 26" old school cruiser class is going to be hardcore this year! I know Route66 and a few other have some heavy hitter 26'rs to be submitted

should be exciting to see this year's achievements :Power.Grin:

Thanks Matt! It was a fun build but after that one, I have to lay low a bit on buying bike stuff to rebuild the bike budget :CashMoney:

My pleasure -- though if anyone else asks for that all internal pattern on superlaces again, I'm going to charge extra. Man was that a PIA.

Incredible attention to detail -- as usual.

Though, I suspect we're starting to sound like a couple of Alzheimer's cases.

Race bikes too! That PK looks amazing and man, your A-frame must look sick next to your freestlyer. I have a GJS freestyler frame I haven't built yet but I'm glad I didn't do it this year since yours would blow mine out of the water for sure. As always, your artistic eye gives your builds a unique style that's a notch above the rest!

And Thornton, you are the king of cruisers. Excellent work on your Nomura and Prodyne!

There are a ton of sick bikes entered and its only the beginning. Thorton's cruisers, Pat's mini and Matt's bikes to name a few....Unfreakingbelieveable.

Jake - on the International -- was that Block padset a one-off or did they make an entire line like that?

I have something very interesting to show you -- it's not bike related, but it is related to that padset somewhat... I'll have to snap a pic tomorrow in the daylight.

Thanks! First time participating. Never had anything show-worthy (probably still don't!) so a survivor is my only hope :Power.Grin:

I dig seeing so many top-notch bikes. I like the reveals (bikes nobody knew about- been under wraps all year) so many awesome scoots, this year will be as tough as previous years!
