Love em or hate em, Slayer is pure power and I'm guessing the only thing more badass than them would have to be old Lucifer himself. I just saw them a few weeks ago and here is a pic. Bring it people! Put some rad stuff on here if you have anything like photos or vids.

Slayer kicks ASS!! Best band of all time to me!!

Took these pics at the filming of the Monster Garage season finale when they did the "Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots" episode. Slayer played a bunch of stuff from the God Hates Us All album and a bunch of old stuff. We were stoked because there was a lot of down time during filming so we got to go hang with Slayer and B.S. It was awesome! I walked up to Tom Araya and talked to him about the first show I went to during the South of Heaven tour at Irvine Meadows. Tom was stoked and called over Kerry to bullshit about it. Awesome night!!

I've seen Slayer many times in the past. First time was Reign In Blood tour. My mom cried when I left the house. I was suspended from school for wearing a Slayer concert t-shirt. You remember the old ones that read "Do you want to die?" on the back? I've been a huge fan for 25 years. Love em! Ironic, weird fact about Slayer: Their album God Hates Us All! was released on September 11th, 2001 Chuck D knew what was up BITD...

Saw them back in probably 91/92 and watched Tom Araya get in a fight and his bouncers take someone outside...

It was an amazing show. They are the kings of Metal and Reign in Blood is the greatest metal album of all time... Period!

I've been a fan since Show No Mercy, but Reign in Blood was the first Slayer show I went to. To this day, it's one of my favorite shows of all time. It was at the Newport in Columbus, Ohio, which was the place I saw my first Metallica show "Master of Puppets Tour".

I had the same Reign in Blood shirt............"Do You Want To Die!!!!"

I've never been a big Slayer fan, but I have to say I have a HUGE amount of respect for them. You have to respect them for being so hard for so long. Being a (formerly) huge Metallica fan, seeing this band stick to their guns and do what they do best as others changed or fell by the wayside, you can't help but admire them. When the mood is right I do like to hear a little Raining Blood or Angel of Death. They are on my short list of bands I really want to see.

I have seen them a ton over the years. Lombardo is an amazing drummer. That whole band kills it night after night. Very good live band. Gary from Exodus did an awesome job filling in for Jeff this past year while he was out with that wicked spider bite. Can't wait to see them again. South of heaven is my all time fav.

I saw them at the State Theatre in Detroit back around 1990. I remember I was leaving for Hawaii two days later.

About midway through the concert, I tapped my buddies on the shoulder because I was having a very hard time hearing. It felt like my ears were bleeding...like there was some liquid running out of my ears. I kept touching them and wiping them, but no blood. My ears were in pain. Seriously. It got to be so bad, that I left our place (on the right side of the stage, in front of their wall of amps) and watched the rest from the back of the theatre. I was so close to being in tears...it hurt so bad.

In the days to follow, I could barely hear. I got on the plane two days later, went to Hawaii for 8 days, came back home, still couldn't hear well. I remember being worried about my hearing the whole time I was on vaca.

I honestly do not believe my hearing has been the same since that night. It scared the heck out of me.

In my mind, it was THAT concert. I can't confirm it because I've been to many, many concerts and I've listened to blasting music via headphones at work for 20+ years...but that concert F'ed my ears up bad.

Thank you for that. Black Magic has always been my favorite Slayer song as well and I've never heard that version.

I agree 100% with what you said. I'm not a fan but have a huge amount of respect for them. There are other bands that I would like to see more but I would probably go see them if I had the chance.
