Strip that paint, ditch the fork( that thing looks very Waldish to me) and begin the build!
Pat Quinn in Texas has had one of those in his storage for years. I remember the first time I saw it I was blown away. It was a number of years before another turned up. Maybe that one was yours Ken? Such a rad frame.
Oh yeah better fix those cranks!

I did here of the one Pat had, but everyone I talked to at the time said it was just rumors, I would like to know what condition his was in, and was it complete? Mine was the next to appear, which is the only complete survivor found so far, I found another about 6 months later, both within 3 miles of my house, and both from original owners I sold the second one to RobV before I even made it home, Matt now owns that one.
Is it up to 7 now Ken? I have 2 full size and one shorty 76, also one shorty with the extra gusset but thats a 77. Hell even if there's 10 of them floating around thats still pretty rare. Joe is yours a 76 or early 77?
Excited to see whats under that paint. Never know, a few layers of paint might have kept that nickel real nice!

Yep! Very nice. I would not mind finding a Decoster myself. My 77 nickle goose has a Decoster fork on it. I keep an NOS 1977 date stamped Ashtabula fork in reserve for it just in case I find a Decoster frame to go with that fork.

The nickel should clean up ok, except where the bridge was welded in, but you may be able to cover that up with the seat stay decals, as long as it wasn't too over heated when they welded it in, they should be lower on the stay, but it will still look good.

I believe it is 9 total extra gusset DeCosters, 2 77's and 7 76's, your 3, mine, Pats, this one, and someone else on the Museum had posted one in a thread that they had. As far as I know there is only your 77 and there was another 77 on the Museum that got parted out.
