Is anyone tired of getting ready to hit the buy it now on a pictured full bike....only to have the butt-head list....frame only? This is happenning more an more lazy E-bayers! Most recent was a Mongoose I was prepared to hit the buy-it-now as the seller stated that he also had the bars to go with it!..GREAT!!...however after I contacted the seller he informed me they didnt go with it...just wanted potential buyers to know he had them?
Repop anything??...why????.....Please stop!!! There is more than enough survivor stuff out there....the fun is finding it!!!!!!!

No, I actually don't have any problem with this practice. I read the item carefully and if I get beat to the buy it now, oh well. However, i take my time and read every last word (even the shipping terms) because im an educated buyer.I like to see the way it's built up, maybe its already packed up, still no biggie to me.

I believe I know the Mongoose of which you speak. I almost did the same thing. Very deceptive listing.

Happens on ebay all the time. Just gotta be careful. Its sucks, but Ive just come to the realization that when it comes to ebay most people throw commonsense and integrity out the window. It is what it is i guess.

I almost bought a SE fork for a SE Floval, which was pictured right next to the frame, and the bottom of the ad, stated "fork only, no frame for sale" I almost bought the damm fork....

I'm tired of people splitting up f&f sets, I won't bid on them if they do that shit! :Frustration:

I fully agree that only the items in the picture should be the only ones in the auction. Taking a picture of the whole bike and just listing a part is lazy and deceptive! What if the frame gets damaged when the bike is taken apart?

I have seen this style listing with car and motorcycle parts too.

I get the repop idea when it comes to wearables(and other common items) in most cases...I just like to know I am buying a repop....and likewise feel that some of the rarer stuff should be left and coveted.

Another one today...nice 1984 GT...great buy-it-now price...like Kerry says to be a well schooled buyer you apparently have to read everything. Still burns my ass...(no forks included)...why leave them in the picture?
