1979 non-serial # GJS

NOS Race Inc. Forks

NOS beartrap headset

NOS FMF seat post

NOS GJS first gen decals, thanks Se666.

Handlebars Unknown? They were on a complete 1980 GJS.

I used glassurit black laquer 2 coats. Wet sanded and added another coat.

It's gorgeous, Joe. So it is done in one-stage? I don't use lacquer so I don't know if 2k lacquer exists. What are the advantages of lacquer instead of urethane?

It is a one stage laquer. And to get the luster you have to sand between every coat. 1000 grit. It is old paint that I have had for a while. I like to use it because when it dries it's like glass. Thank you all for the kind words. Oh and just to let you all know. I received this frame in gray primer. Somebody else stripped it. It was originally black. When I removed the bb cups there was a really nice black left over inside the bb shell and head tube.

Was that the one off eBay that was partially stripped (selling from the new jersey area) ?

I think that one was bought by KILRGT from the museum Marcos and powdered blue.

....and this looks cool with the red fork.

Nice. Love those stickers.

Do you offer painting services? I have a Gen2 GJS that was already stripped down and needs a repaint. It was OG red (paint in the BB).

Either way - that's a stunner ..... I just asked cuz I wonder what became of the one forsale from out here on the ec. I always had a soft spot for the various A frame designs. I'd take a whole set up if given a chance f/f/bars/post in og condition, but I don't love'em so much I'd try chase'em down for half my life either, Doh !
