Nice bike Joe. That looks like the same frame as my hack. Same gussets, even the one down at the bottom bracket. Your year guess would be correct.

I was looking closely at your pictures and comparing yours to mine. I do not have mine here at home, it is hanging from the ceiling at Blackeys shop, The Bicycle Source.

So, I enlarged the best picture I could find and, I am not sure but, my front gussett does not appear to be 'skip welded' like yours.

I will look closer the next time I go up there.

That bike is a smooth ride, real roomy, great job Joe.

Dennis is yours a single gusset? I'm pretty sure Joes is a double.

Duh! Good call. I swear I looked at every angle and did not see that. It is so obvious too.

Can I blame it on the age thing? LOL! I even know that I bought my hack and the bike at the same time in 75. So mine would be an earlier model that Joes.

I remember when they figured out that double gussetts were better than the single, very soon after they also went with the 'skip welds' to spread out the preasure points'.

That's another topic all together...

Hey Dennis how goes it. Ever since I laid eyes on your Littlejohn my search began for an original finish chrome frame like yours. I love your bike. I finally found one and built it similar to yours but I couldn't find early cook forks and I almost had moto-mag 1's but the guy flaked. So I had to use superbyke forks and motomag II's. I have been riding this bike everyday at the college campus for excersie. Here are some better pics of the Littlejohn.

Beautiful Littlejohn Joe! So tell me please, is the double gusset a 76/7 model? I am not sure many people are certain. You do not see these beauties often!!

I think it's a 77 and I have only seen one. There is no serial number anywhere. It could be a late 76 or an early 77. Maybe Kevin will tell us.
