And the pic in the auction is from '81-'82 isn't it? I know red baron is in the pic.

Could be welded by the Pope and it still won't sell for that kind of money.

Cycle Pro Foilers were 1977 only. Why do you say its earlier? FMF was 76-77 only.

As far as this seller, Patrick. Hes a good dude. Just dreaming. I sold him a RA9 with an unthreaded euro bb that had SE decals on it og and he tried selling it for ten grand.

I saw that auction, too. Are you guys thinking this is not the frame Scot is riding in the picture? Kinda sucks the guy removed the original sticker.

Is there a definitive comparison thread for ALL of these early aluminum frames and brands? I have some difficulty pinpointing ID and would like to see photos of them to compare side by side. If there is not one maybe I will do one. The brands I know that had a similar design are FMF, Race Inc, Laguna, Cycle Pro and SE. Anyone ever seen a comparison thread like that?

If memory serves me correctly  that race picture of us is from 1985 and, as the article states, we had to race our old race bikes.

I will attempt to upload my picture at a high resolution so you guys can get a good look at Scots bike.

Going by Dennis' pic I'd say it a pretty damn close match.

It's close but not it. If you look real close at Mr. Dain's picture, the left chain stay has a scrape. The ebay bike doesn't. But I could be wrong. It's still a cool bike. I hope it's real, Im tired of fake ass bikes popping up lately.

Benny, I have all the info and pics to do that thread. Its one Steve has been on me for two years to put in the University and I just havent done it. I no longer have a home computer and at work is the only opp I have other than using my phone which obviously a project like that cant be done from. Unfortunately it keeps taking a backseat to life which never lets up anymore but I will get to it soon.

Brett, I misunderstood what you were saying. Sorry. I still think you are a fucking moron though

I have no doubt this is the real frame. Its too coincidental not to be and Ive had knowledge of this frame since before he had it.

As I undertand it, he also screen printed the stickers himself, and killed the horse used to make the glue!!

Not to side track the thread, but I like how Dennis' head is right between the words 'old' and 'farts' in that article above. That made me chuckle.

There's also an odd juxtaposition between Dennis' hind quarters and Bottema's head in 2D which makes that tagline even a little more guffaw-inducing.

So the old farts were maybe 25-28 years old in 1985? Jeez... they were just gettin' warmed up!

Lee...I am ever so happy that you are being entertained at my expense. I'll deal with you in June...

I was thinking about that also, Richard. I was 25 in 1985 and we were titled 'Old Farts'. :)

I don't know for sure but I would guess some of todays top Pros are in that age bracket.

Some of the current top pros are that age, and older.
