Need help to see if these Suzie Racing Rims 20" are saveable. The guy I got the bike from, Robinson S.T.T. 1992, had these Rims on it and he told me his son went jumping with them one day. Stupid. But anyways the rear rim has a dent in it from jumping and the front has problems with its sealed barrings. Heres the pics. Thanks!:)

I wouldn't go crazy trying to fix that wheel set - its pretty mediocre and not too difficult to replace ...

Bearings aren't really sealed - its a word play game used by companies early in the day before sealed cased bearings actually did come on everything - they are "sealed MECHANISM" hubs, the "mechanism" part of them is a plastic washer that helped keep moisture and dirt out, as long as they are maintained, If not they come loose and eventually look like that - those hubs can be saved and cleaned ----- rims look like 20 x 1 3/8ths sun rims, by the looks of the spoke hole eyelets, not too hard to unearth, but they are intended for strictly race reasons and normally have weight restrictions - somewhere around 90-110 lb rider max - if you want the same thin look but add some wieght bearing ridability to them then look for 20 x 1.5 rims.

But don't crazy on gearing up a Robbie SST either - very low end of the spectrum and not too desirable in the market ( gt had already ought them out and wasnt too keen on keeping them the prestigious name they had earned in earlier days) unless you actually had one and it had sentimental value - cuz they're isnt much monitarily - hell you can probably replace a whole Robbie SST for what a new wheel set might run you alone.

As mentioned above, don't waste any time on those wheels. The SUZUE hubs can be saved though but they really aren't all that desirable.

Thanks! I did replace the Rims with Weinman 20x1.75 Rims, Works great but wanted that fast racing feeling like what the Suzie Rims had. So should I just scrap the Rims or just save them?
