Ok so I found this f&f set 6 or 7 years ago at an old bike shop that had been closed since the early 90's. It was just lying out in the yard behind the shop for years. I got it painted last year and decided to start looking for parts to put her together close to stock with a little of my own touches. some early pics and some of how she looks now. Its a mix of nos and nice used parts.

This my is my first and only f&f set that I have ever re-finished and not built with OG finish. :OSThumbsUpPeace[1]:

Red Line MX-II f&f with re-pop decals
Red Line bars and Brut stem
Hatta MX-10 headaet
Sugino 178mm cranks, spyder and gear
Suntour seat clamp
gold flutted seat post
1st gen Viscont mx seat
Tourney brakes with kool stop pads
Ukai hoops with Suntour hubs and black spokes
IRC tires
KKT pedals
OG AME Cams grips
gold valve caps
custom Haro plate

Yep thats it for me as well. I remember walking into the new Schwinn shop when it opened in Del Rio tx. back in 1980 and seeing real BMX bikes for the first time. The palce was full of Stings, Mongoose/Decosters, Red Lines, Diamond Backs, and Kuwahara. They were in blue and red colors with all those shinny anno parts and it just blew me away. I had a freind who got a black Red Line with all gold parts for his birthday, I was never the same after he let me ride it.

Awesome save Brett. Don't feel guilty for one second about refinishing that. A well deserved restoration!
