I have a dream. No, I am not talking about political movements, I have been dreaming about a movie that needs to be made. Recently, we have had movies like Stu Thomsen, And Joe kid on a Stingray. Both which chronicle the glory days of BMX in chronilogical order from conception, to current. Both movies delve into alot of tidbits of rare facts and events which drew us in, and made us want to go raid the local dirt parking lot and build some ramps and berms all over again. So, my dream, and motivation to write this post, and what I am waiting for, is the right people, and the right filmakers, to meet up, and put together a sidehack movie, one that covers mid 70's to early 80's sidehack racing. Uncover some of the unsung heros, unseen footage, reveal some unknown facts, and eventually find its way onto my dvd player, and I guarantee it will get worn out. I would love to have a 90 minute movie, dedicated to Sidehack history.
Can someone, anyone, talk to the right person, who has the right connections, the needed bankroll, and pull this off? Please? I'd be a happyboy, if this ever happens. Its the missing link in vintage BMX movies.
