Man, I bought one of these things a few weeks ago... awesome machine. Some seriously good joe going on here. Didn't know that there could be that much of a difference.
I like the fact that I can get a filter deal for it so I can use my own coffee in place of the K-cups if I want.

Never tried it. That's cool you can put your own coffee in. The idea of having to buy pre-packed cups is not appealing.

I'm not a coffee drinker. Mom-in-law got one. She raves over the coffee (and the teas), but decided she doesn't want it because it's just as easy to go to the Wawa on her way to work to grab her coffee.

My work has one of those machines. It's neat and does the job. I drink from those machines monday through friday I prefer fresh ground and French press or drip. Mmmm WaWa. I lived in south jersey for a few years. They have good coffee and tea. Great food. I really miss the stuffed pretzels and fresh TastyKakes. I live in Tampa but there is a newly built WaWa in Orlando I need to check out.

You'd be surprised by how many people who've never been to the Delaware Valley, know what Wawa is... And yes, they have been expanding lately. My brother-in-law (also in the Tampa area) is probably the happiest person on earth now that there's a Wawa on his route to work.

The pre-packed K-Cups (as they are called) are pretty cool. Most of the flavors I have tried I would buy on a regular basis. And they are super convenient and I can have a cup of joe waiting for me by the time I finished putting on my loin cloth.
What really sold me though, is the ability to use my own favorite stuff. I really like the Tortuga Rum flavored coffee I got hooked on on a cruise to the western Caribbean a couple of years ago. So now I can buy some and cook it up.
And my son is stoked because he can do tea as well.

We have the Cuisinart model that accepts K-cups. Heard nothing but bad things about the current model year of Keurig (won't pump water being the #1), so we went with Cuisenart.

To me it's hokey. And in my honest opinion, we are spending way more money on coffee than before. But the wife wants it/likes it, so.....

With Cuisenart, you can fill the K-cups with your own coffee as well, but I'm incredibly lazy and I refuse to do this (I have no desire to 'work' for a cup of coffee with assembly, brewing, then proper cleaning of the little filter thing). If its not a prepackaged k-cup ready to go OR the old style coffee pot, then I'll hit Tim Horton's on the way to work.

Overall opinion: Works great. Coffee tastes good. More expensive that before (I believe). Hassle to use your own coffee.

My wife started with the Keurig but had some challenges with it, so she replaced it with the Cuisinart version and she uses the heck out of that thing. In the past she would brew a pot but only drink a cup or so and the rest would go to waste. With this she can make a fresh cup whenever she wants.

I am naturally caffinated (that is what my wife says )and I don't drink coffee, sorry, it just does not taste good to me. So the 'one cup at a time' thing is great for our house.

My wife even has one of those machines in her supply room next to her classroom and the 4 teachers in her quad all use it.

Wawa's great food cheap prices miss that place!!!
