It's just unreal how good the Dr. is! That man could ride the wheels off a moped...

WAS...he's suckin' ass on that Ducati. I don't think he has the fire anymore and Stoner and Lorenzo as well as others are just haulin' ass.

Yeah it is a real unknown if he will make it back to the top. He has had a rough past couple of years, also in his personal life and is now riding a Ducati which doesn't seem to be as competitive of a bike as the Yamahas and Hondas.

But one thing for sure is that if anyone can make a comeback in such a situation, Rossi definitely could, but he would really have to want it.

Certainly Rossi from 1999 to 2009 was the best of that era maybe any era.

As for now, don't be so quick to blame the Ducati. Many overlook the fact that Stoner won the title on the same 800 that Rossi could only get on the podium 1x.

Now that they have switched back to 1000s Rossi is doing no better (and this follows Rossi insisting on a new frame design for the Ducati).

On the other hand, Hayden on the same bike has had better performances, perhaps even podium worthy.

Other than the usual aliens (Stoner, Lorenzo, Pedrosa) at the front, the ones who clearly want it are Crutchlow, Dovisioso, Bradl and perhaps a few others.

As much as I love Moto GP, World Superbike has way better racing. Millermotorsports or bust.

Back in the good ol' days when 2 strokes ruled, GP racing was almost scary to watch. I do miss the big bang 500's with no traction control...

Crutchlow is one to watch. Spies in kinda floundering, I was hoping he'd come out guns blazing. Dovisio has something to prove so he and Crutchlow are gonna scape all year long.

It's gonna be the Stoner/Lorenzo show I think with a few interesting side players. I think Rossi's motivation and confidence is a bit shaken but he might pull one out of the bag podium wise. Hayden will be a constant mid top 10 guy for the most part. I hope Spies gets going, when he's ON he's as fast as the other 3-4 fastest guys.

The saddest thing to see is Edwards struggling with CRT bikes....he should have gone back to WSB which is better racing anyway and 2 race a day to boot. Moto GP has to be an ego thing...I mean how can someone who I think can still be competitive....Edwards....ride around on a bike that will NEVER get anywhere near the fast guys unless they all take themselves out in the first turn.....the money must be pretty good. Edwards would be right back into the hunt in WSB.

The days of Schwants passing Rainey going into that tight right turn whilst the rear wheel was in the air at Hockenheim(I think)are LONG and sadly gone.

I agree about Spies and Edwards.

I know Edwards begged Yamaha to back an R1 CRT ride prior to signing with Suter and yes the money must be pretty good on the Suter/BMW as he could have named his ride in WSBK.

The one CRT bike that has a real chance are the Aprillia powered units. They are potent and have the benefit of several years of WSBK development.

I expect DePuniet to be in the hunt at some point. In addition it would not surprise me to see Biaggi on a wildcard ART/CRT ride this year.

I am going to Miller (looking forward to it) and will likely skip Laguna.

Yeah I think that is the one. That clip right there is pure racing in the glory days of the 2 stroke era.
