Yep I ran onto a lead on a sweet 82 or 83 redline mx II a month or so ago the bike had been in storage for 25 yrs mostly original white F/F with red parts including skyway mags was really wanting it and we kept in touch for awhile about it, up until recently so today I decided to drop him a line and see what was up he has a young son and after he got the bike out of storage and brought it home so I could stop by and take a look his son saw it and said wow that's cool and asks is it mine? So that's the deal which really made me smile about as much as if I would have gotten it so I told him that was fine I understand and all so he asked if I would fix it back up for him so of course I said I'd love to. So that's that, so I have a question for the redline ppl or anybody that can tell me how to tell if this mx II is an 82 or 83 Ive never seen it in person don't have a serial number to go on just a pic which isn't a very good one. I don't have a computer just my iPhone so not sure how to post a pic on here but the decals look like a 83? Mx III or like a pl 20 Carrera they are all red and he says it says mx II but I can't tell in the pics what it says but I recall seeing a set of decals on eBay a cpl weeks ago like his but I thought the 82 had the old style decals? So is it rare or change somewhere in the production run or what please somebody help me, I am gonna need a set of decals, also did redline offer a straight bar handlebar at this time? All the og ones I see had v bars he said it was the way it was bought new and it also had the red skyways so I just kinda wonder if maybe the bike shop didn't just build it this way any help is greatly appreciated if anybody needs to see the pic I have for reference or could put it on here for me I can probably email it thanks
