SAD SAD day Carrol Shelby died

Just saw on the news about his passing. The motor sports world has had a great loss with this passing.

My dad and his motor-head buddies put a big block Chevy engine in a Shelby Cobra back in 1979.
(not the pic above)

Yep. Truly is sad. We all knew it was coming eventually but it is still shocking to hear.

The most amazing driver and car builder. He will be sadly missed.

He actually was one of my true hero's. I wrote a paper on him in high school, and since we share the same birthday, I always felt a connection. Very sad day:(

AC Cobra, stuffing a small block Ford then a big block in an AC chassis.

And No it is not wrong to stuff a big block Chevy in a Cobra, That is the spirit of Shelby right there.

Many cool Chrysler Products (CSX-VNT, GLHS, oh and that VIPER thing)

Some cool Mustangs, etc, etc, etc......

The world of cars (and the world itself) is a better place because of men like Carrol Shelby.

Rest in Peace and have a bowl of chili.
