Even BITD I liked the early Dyno Freestyle bikes, It was the regular kids Fiola Special.
GT but not GT, Dyno had a style and riders all their own.
Today I cleaned up my newest acquisition, a 1987 Compe Survivor.
So check out my new bike, and post your Dyno stuff!

Dyno's are great - especially the early ones.
Having surfaced in 85 - I feel like they really found their prominence (engineering and design wise) in 1987.
Seems the brand took a dive in the early 90s (being one of the first to usher more low-end bikes than high-end). But the roots of the company definitely deserve the respect of any top BMX company in the 80s.
Here's an 87 Dyno Pro Compe I've been working on for a few years.
Finished it up for the last BOTY show. But figured this would be an appropriate thread to dig it back out.
All original chrome and decals.
Upgraded cranks to GT Power Series (unique of Team Models - and a logical upgrade for the year). I also swapped out the SR Spintech Stem/rotor for a GT Mallet and Gyro - which was a common sight to see when looking at the Dyno sponsored pros' bikes of the time.
I love this one.
(a few upgrades since the pics - not shown - are earlier version grips and upper gyro cable).

The first bike I ever bought was a 1987 Dyno D-Tour. It was day glo pink, I think I've seen one more day glo D-Tour since. I loved that bike, bought it with money made on my paper route. I actually dug up a few pics of me on the bike shortly after I got it when I was home last Christmas. I need to find those again and scan them.
Matt, that Pro Compe is one of my all time faves.
