Apparently I've lost my mind.
I just bought a Hutch Pro Star frame and fork and I'm about to try and re-create probably one of if not THE most expensive bmx builds ever. It appears to have all og stickers and this will be an all og build, no show parts. Of course, since I'm an aluminum polisher I'll probably have at least one or two polished parts on it.
I'm debating on re-creating the BMXA Pro Star test bike instead of the normal one we are all used to seeing. Any thoughts? Keep me in mind for any parts you come across too!

Yep it was parted in the end, dunno why but as soon as I built it I didn't like it haha, judges are the best hutch frames imo.

Thanks Marty! A judge is on my list to get one day as well, just can't seem to fork out that kind of $ though. It's one thing to do it on a complete build, but not just a frame and fork.

I'm not one of those "show build guys". I'm not a fan of polishing, over bling or anything or person that kind of shows off
Yeah, however a Pro Star is straight pimpin!
Something about it being "the" most expensive bike bitd that still makes me say "damn"
I never get tired of looking at them. In my neighborhood, Hutch was a mail order thing as we were a lower to lower middle class town. Even back then it was like a Picasso on two bicycle wheels.
I say do it and show us the pics!

The ONLY things that will be polished will be the brake and lever. I HATE the look of chromed aluminum so those parts will be polished. I may polish the 2-n-1 and the stem if I can't find decent chrome ones, but that will be the extent of it. The frame and fork haven't arrived, they are getting shipped out Friday I believe so I should have some pics soon!

I say do it too.....build one! And post pics along the way. I love the bikes too, even though I was out of the bike loop BITD when these came out, I still love to see them.
