Years ago there were whisperings about a GJS Big Tube Freestyler. Never saw any pictures and don't know where the legend started, but just thought I'd mention it here in case anyone had some info...

OK. Here is my contribution:
We had a local racer here by the name of Bobby Hicks. He was a factory support rider for SE. He had a younger brother named Bradley who went on to race for Bandito. Bradly, being a smallish guy, was concerned about weight, so his dad, (The Plunge BMX track operator) Bob, rang up The OM and had a one-off, custom titanium PK made for Brad.
Bradley rode it for a while, but being an air freak, he broke it.
So, since I have no way of contacting these people due to death or relocation out of the country, this particular situation may fall under the heading of "myth."
The only factor that may lean it more towards "rare," is the fact that one of the BMX chaps I used to hang out with in the early '80s recently contacted me through Facebook. I haven't talked to him since our racing days, and it was nice to get back in touch. One of the things he brought up was the Ti PK. So, this could be considered further proof of its actual existence.
I am going to shoot an e-mail to Scot and see if he remembers the frame and if so, I will update this story.

Freeny, I will be sending you a PM. You from Bakersfield?
edit: I guess you can't use the pm system yet. I sent an email to you via the link on your profile page.

What about the 26" Quad Scot rode. I know there was a pic of it somewhere. Also, was there ever any pics or proof of an SE GH Flyer? Was suppose to be Greg Hill's signature SE frame in 78. Supposedly a BD3 with a round top tube. He left SE and the production frame was the BD3. Any info on this?
Very interested in the Ti PK story.

I really would like some confirmation on that Ti PK as well. Things can sometimes getr remembered incorrectly over time, but I am pretty sure on this one.
can't wait to hear back from freeny.

It was a 26\24 quad. Last I heard Scot has kept it in the family.

OK talked to Brad today and he confirmed the Ti frame from Scott. He said he broke it and threw it in the trash. I am taking a trip soon to see him. He said he still has his Bandito bike, some racing gear and some photos. So I will post some photos and info after the trip. Maybe even get him to make some PLUNGE BMX shirts!
