This sunday, from 11am until 4pm, in History park, San Jose, California. We are having the 3rd annual Calabazas Cyclery sponsored Old School get together. It is our local BMX collectors, and 2nd sponsor is Behindbars, the local customs/schwinn/lowrider bike club, combining forces to have an all out bicycle show with vendors, ramp riding, etc....5 DOLLARS PER SHOW BIKE ENTERED, free to the general public. This year the show will not include a swap meet. Last year we held it at Lake Cunningham, and it was a big turn out, this year it is expected to be huge. Be there, or be square!!

OK, So I did the show today, petty good turn out, though the sheer numbers of BMX'ers was down this year. I t was still a good show, and I am glad I went. Here are some of the OS BMX bikes.

My pleasure to share.... The BMX part of this show was small, but I still wanted to represent our sport, so I went, and it was fun. Saw alot of familiar faces, and got to know the whole Customs/Lowrider guys who put on the show. It was most definately different, but a big part of California culture, so I am glad I went. Sometimes its good to get some variety. One person, a young girl on a Torker 20 inch bmx was totally cool, her dad used to race for Powerlite, and she was an exceptional rider, I was blown away by her riding ability. She really had some skills for her age. ( 12-13? )
We are talking about trying to do one pure BMX show before winter, so, time will tell if we can pull it off. Thanks for checking on my post.
