My friend/teamate only had his Mom to take him to races.

I asked my sponsor, "Does he have a Dad?"

"Yes."

"How come he doesn't come to his races then?"

"They have a lot of money, his Dad won't come to his races because he thinks it is a poor kid's sport."

I hated that guy, never did meet him ever.

I have five children and I don't understand that mentality. Of course, I'm not rich, so ... But, if any of my children wanted to compete in any sport -- 'rich' or 'poor' -- I would do everything in my power to provide them the equipment and skills, as well as cheer them on at competitions.
