Ok
Since we got the off topic forum, which I was recently introduced to, thought it may be fun to share my other love, of building Muscle. Musclecars, that is. I know personally, my 20 plus years of car building led me to the level of bike building I now enjoy.
When it comes to old cars, there is not anything, as bad ass as a big block, lowered, maxed out muscle car. I aquired this 1971 Challenger back in 1987, and it was my daily driver for 12 years, then around 2000 it started to transform into a showcar, as it it now. My car has almost 500,000 miles on the chasis. But, I have replaced every part at least one time, with the exception of the sideglass windows..Its on its 2nd engine, 2nd rear end, and many parts have come and gone.
But bassically a 1971 Challenger base model. Converted into a 383 Magnum clone R/T.
383 C.I. BORED .30 OVER, Keith Black pistons, Edelbrock performer manifold, Holley 750cfm dual feed single pump carb, Mopar performance Electronic conversion distributor with orange ignition box, 8mm wires, dual timing chain and windage tray, Magnum cast iron exhaust manifolds, blowing thru Flowmaster dual chamber mufflers. Trans is your basic a727 torqueflite with a shift kit. And external trans cooler. Out back is a 8 3/4 mopar rear end with 3.73 suregrip diff. Polished 15 inch Centerline Drag stars keep it looking old school. When we painted it, I chose a 1970 white tail stripe, and matched the hood scoops to that strip. Anyways, I'd love to see the cars from you guys...

Allright JOE! I assume this is you. I did see the back of this peeking out of your garage. So it must be. Looks like a flathead. And reminds me of a Bonville speedster. What is the body?

This is my '69 Super Bee.
I found the un-restored car at the Portland Swap meet in 2005. At that time, the market was going bonkers, so I paid the price and started the restoration. This car sat unwanted from 1976 to the time I bought it. It was an original Super Bee with a 383 Magnum, 4sp transmission, 3:91 gears, and the optional N96 fresh air hood. The original engine was long gone, so I located a date-correct HP 383 engine to take it's place.
The original color was Y4 gold with white interior, stripe and top. At the time, I absolutely hated that shade of gold, so I had it painted the color I would have chosen if I were the original buyer.
Today, I wish I kept the gold color as it looks quite nice when fresh. I have considered changing it back, but that's more money than I can throw at it right now.

American muscle cars are friggin tough! I was having a discussion with a serious collector/builder of vintage and muscle cars, & it's his belief that Mopars are the next big thing here.. Aussie muscle cars are insane as well & worth very very big $!

I don't think he will mind, so here's the Pinapple himself. Better known as SE666 in here. When he goes to car shows in this, everybody else STOPS WHAT THEY ARE DOING, and just stares. Its friggin bad ass, with a capitol TNT! Injected, blown, tubbed and caged, and pushing over 1000 hp..

That thing is a beast! The guy i mentioned in my previous post, he has a 57 Chev, spent 120k on it already, and he is taking the engine out and having it blown etc etc.. He is looking at running low 8's quarter. He is going to Arizona to bring back a Road Runner and a barracuda.. What is possible with a lot of $$ :power.of.suggestion:

Didn't that car used to be called Defrank and Cohen perhaps mid 1980s? And If so that car used to be local (in Tarzana) on Wilbur south of Ventura.

yes, it belonged to jim defrank from tarzana. its not the same car from the 80's it was built recently to resemble the old defrank and cohen car.. which i also worked on in the late 70's early 80's.
