  2. Kuwahara Collectors check this out...!

    Posted 3 Sep 2009

:( I have been kicking myself for a while after selling my 1983 Laserlite (floval tube, first gen). I have almost all the OEM parts to put a nice one together... So when I seen this bike advertised as a "1983 Laserlite" last weekend I jumped on it! I recognize many of the parts as OEM Kuwahara i.e. powerdisc, Suntour headlock, rear drop outs...but the bars and rear triangle tell a different story...

:break: Check it out...Check-ah-check it out...?!?

OTW, when it arrives this week, I can confirm fo sho... The owner says "Cool old Laserlite."

    Watcha think?

  4. EBAY $8000+ mistake.

I was hoping to warn the intersted that this is not a KE-1 Kuwahara. Notice double flanges at frame and forks are wrong, but look correct for a later TANGE Rhino.

    Heads Up.

Old decals are scratched or frayed but to save them and make them smoothe use gasoline on cloth and rub the frame leave it outside in the sun and the plastic decal will smoothe over and adhere with the metal frame.

    Hey 21W,
Thanks for the advice. I will try the brillo pad on the UKAI's. I remember reading about how you used gas on some frame decals. How do you do that? Gas on a clothe?
