  1. An Original Jam by GusC.

    Posted 1 Sep 2012

My nephew just posted this and I thought some of you guys would appreciate it. He's pretty good and I'm not just saying that as his uncle--I base it on reactions from other, older musicians. Anyway, listen for yourself.

    Oh, and he's 13.

  2. SE Racing Can Cozy Flash Snoot Mod

    Posted 30 Aug 2012

When I paid my dues I got some cool BMX Society Swag! One item was an SE Racing Can Cosy. I don't use these, but I couldn't get rid of it. What I do use are snoots for my camera flashes so I turned this into a snoot--now I can use my cool SE Racing snoot all the time!

It all starts with this, a freebie can cozy.

First I trimmed the bottom part.

Then I cut the bottom part in half to create two flaps. Afte that I added a little piece of Velcro to each flap.

That's it! To use it, all you do is slide the snoot on your flash and use the Velcro to hold it in place. Next I am going to try part of a black spray paint can top as an insert to keep the end perfectly round. You may notice spill out the sides of the thin material. I don't think that will be powerfull enough to affect a photo--an example is the body of the flash in this shot which is lit with another Can Cozy Snoot like the one in the picture.

  3. Bike (non BMX) stolen in Oregon found on Seattle CL

    Posted 17 Aug 2012

This video of a guy who's $2500 carbon fiber Fuji road bike was stolen in Oregan popped up on my Facebook the other day. The owner and his buddies shot this video when they found the bike on CL in Seattle. The video is a little slow, but I do love seeing the douchebag thief get busted. Even though it's ot BMX I figured I would share because we are all passionate about our bikes.

How far would you go to get a stolen bike back?

  4. Almost Unbelievable Freestyle Riding 2012 video

Most of you must have seen this video, but I just saw it and it is crazy! Some of the stuff in there looks like it defies the laws of physics!

Oh, I muted the audio and let me internet radio play...
  5. Beastie Boy's Adam "MCA" Yauch dies at 47

    Posted 4 May 2012

Sadly, one of the first things I noticed today is that Beastie Boy's Adam "MCA" Yauch lost his battle with cancer today.

I loved the Beastie Boys ever since I first heard "Fight for your Right." and have purchase everyone of their albums since--something I never do. In the mid '80s I would cruise my '86 Toyota truck with a pair of Pyle Driver 12s in the shell, blasting tracks from License to Ill.

RIP MCA, you were taken far too soon!
