Thanks for the kind words and encouragement. I know deep down He will pop up. He has always been a very private person. Plus I tend to worry over my oldest friends more as the years fly by. Back to happy now! I forgot to mention that the metalic blue paint on the frame and fork were applied by rattle can as was the metalic blue of Larry's original. -

Lastly, Sodbuster, giving up the sport, over this?? Your bikes rock!! That, is just plain sad..And we will miss your creativity...
This is only the last of many many straws for me. The child like joy i used to get from doing this has dried up and blown away. I never did it for the mony I never did it for any sort of status. It was always for the shear joy of the bikes. The uniqueness of them the originality of them. They are like nothing else. The thrill of the chase and the satifaction of a rare part found. All of it speaks to ones base instincts of beauty and truth. And it did so in my heart of hearts, my soul. Reproductions do not speak to the soul because they have no soul of their own. Only because what they have that is suposed to pass as "soul" has been borrowed. In my own humble opinion no matter the good intentions that went into making them the bottm line is just the same.
Just remember what the road to hell is paved with. -

I could not put myself through reading all of the last four pages I'll just say this. My original Cook brothers loaf seat is now worthless. No one will ever look at the bike it is mounted on the same again and will always wonder it it is the real thing or not. Now it will always be suspect. I also told myself years ago when people started repoping 70's BMX parts.I would be done with this hobby.
Well that's it I am DONE! the June show will be my last gasp at this hobby of ever growing frustration. consider the frok stuck.
