  2. Name the bars (again)

    Posted 29 Feb 2012

It's time to play another game of "Name the bars". So anyone have any ideas? They are cruiser bars, 29" wide, little bit of a sweep to them. "Mexico" is stamped on the left side where the grip would go. There is double knurling that looks like it was made to accomodate a double clamp stem. Any ideas?

  3. Removing paint from anodizing?

    Posted 23 Jun 2011

I have some 7c hoops, the anodizing is a nice vibrant blue, but there is paint over spray on both hoops. Kind of a speckling. It wont scratch off with my fingernail, but an exacto knife used very carefully does work. But would take about 10 years. My question is, is there any chemical, aerosol or otherwise that will just remove the paint speckles but not the anodizing?
  4. 1983 JMC 24" Cruiser

    Posted 25 May 2011

After hearing the sad news of Vera Melton's passing I decided to dedicate my JMC 24 to her. I had only met her once at last years show, but you could just see the love and admiration that Jim and her had for one another. So in the spirit of guys naming cars after women, I present... Vera.

  5. Yard Sale Hack

    Posted 13 Jul 2010

I found this sidehack at a yard sale, looks like a GLJ but I'm no expert. It needs a little work mostly on the fender, but not in too bad of shape. Guy said he used to race BITD. Said he raced this at the LA Coliseum in the 70's, not with the POS bike that's bolted to it of course. And yes, the monkey was included! :)
