  2. In Topic: Thruster seat clamp ?????

    Thanks,, it does

I wasnt aware of any thruster debate in 2001.

I have look through old posts on other sites and the pedal issue does comes up

As for the clamp i havent seen proof that this was reproduced and that it wasnt originally made for thruster

I find is strange that someone who rode(the guy i bought the bmx from) in the 80's stopped would then go out and buy a clamp that some elude to may have be made in 2001.

    cheers

I'm not quite sure as to the point of this all:

Why are you all busting eamonn's balls over this? I've read 'most' of the link on Vintage and he's asking for information - that's all

He has a seat clamp and want's to know its history.... If he weren't doing this you'd be slating him for being naive and miss representing the item.

So its a fake produced in 2001 ish (no visual proof of this statement that I can see) - that's all you had to say, but also that some of you like it because of its quirkiness.

    Hope that helps you eamonn

I dont understand what you mean by a real thruster clamp?

kinda funny how the general concensus on VBMX where you started a thread regarding the clamp was that it bogus, now you come over here to link your for sale thread and ask questions....

i put it on vintage to try to get some information , i didnt start this thread or put the pics up

As to its origins, i wasnt aware it was questionable and from what i have read i dont think anyone has a definative answer as to its origins its all opinions

As i said i bought a phaze 1 with this clamp on it, the bike and bits were stored by the owner and recently built up for his son to ride, i dont think he has been collecting parts just what he had picked up from riding bitd.

    Dont mean to upset anyone

    cheers

Oh you don't have too, just found it interesting that you are a UK member and you posted a link to a UK based auction and that was your first post being a member of two years. You seem to know more about that clamp than what is listed in the auction. Are you the owner of the clamp? If your are trying to say this is a real Thruster clamp is what I find interesting.

i do own the clamp, i bought a cw with this on it, the information relates to the person i bought the bike from.

I dont understand what you mean by a real thruster clamp?
