  1. Hit the skatepark last night and a legend came to ride...

    Posted 17 Sep 2009

Got a small afterhours session together last night at Haven Skatepark- www.Havenskatepark.com - in North Haven, CT because board member and LBS manager Loopy (George) said Ron Wilkerson and his bro Kelly were in the area and wanted to ride. I have to drop a HUGE thanks to the guys at Haven and Mike from DropOutBMX for allowing this to happen when they should have been closed. Ron, Kelly and 9 locals made it a really great time since all the lines were open and ripping. Ron was going HUGE in the full pipe! Kelly rocked a hip transfer all night and was riding really smooth.

  2. HUGE score- thanks to Manyaxes

    Posted 2 Aug 2009

Posted on the freestyle threads since I hang out over there- if the mods need to delete one that's cool.

Manyaxes has been collecting for a while and we've been Internet friends for a few years. In the past year he had been talking about selling it all- well, almost all since he kept an 85 Streetbeat, 78 Redline Proline and a Quadangle- and today was the day we finalized the deal and I picked it all up.

Ryder trucks screwed me so instead of a 16' box truck I had to stuff everything into my Xterra and my dad's Bravada (my brother drove out to help) for the score. I got 10 completes into my X with 3 more on the rack out back. Bro got 7 inside and we both had parts busting out everywhere.

To make it even a better story (did I mention I was shafted by Ryder?) we had a 202 mile trip each way from his house to mine and within the first 15 miles of the return my X started to overheat. I did the whole trip with the heat on FULL blast at 55 mph with my eye on the temp gauge as it fluctuated between perfect and just shy of nuclear.

YES most of it will be sold but I have to sort through it before I even consider anything.

Oh yeah, the bike stuff...here's a few quick shots and some of the highlights. I have more bikes and parts to go through...I ran out of daylight and stopped sorting the mess out.

Before we packed parts into my X...there are 10 bikes in there...
