  1. MUST WATCH video of Keith Treanor

    Posted 22 Feb 2013

Saw this on S&M's facebook page last night. Figured some of the people here would find it as interesting as I did.

  2. Not a BMX, But I Think You Guys Will Dig This SURVIVOR!

    Posted 16 Oct 2012

So I've wanted a tandem for a while now, but I've never really searched for one or started pricing them out until last night. I noticed that the local Schwinn dealer had a tandem outside their store, so I looked it up online. I looked at the MSRP and it was $830 which was a little bit more than I wanted to spend, so I searched craigslist. No luck. Then I figured, hey maybe I'll look at ebay and one will be close by. Sure enough there was one the next town over, it was by far in the best condition of any schwinn tandem on ebay, and it was almost a third of the price of the new schwinn I was looking at online. It ended today and I picked it up today. Instant gratification!

This thing IS as nice as it looks in the pics. ALL ORIGINAL parts. I'm amazed that it survived in this condition. I do plan on riding it, so I will probably switch out the original grips, seats, and tires (cracking sidewalls) while riding so I don't ruin them. I hope you guys think it's as cool as I do!

  3. Odd LG fork, NOMOREA frame, and Odd Pistol Grips

    Posted 4 Oct 2012

I picked up a 2003 Supercross Nomorea frame and it came with a set of landing gear forks. I've never seen a landing gear fork with the large beefy section underneath where the headset race would sit. I'm not sure if they're just a "new school" variation of the landing gear. I'm sure there have been plenty of variations of them throughout the years. Does anyone have any information on them? Looking for the year for this particular fork.

In a separate purchase I bought a set of ATI Pistol grips. All of the other pairs of Pistol Grips that I have seen have a open end and were sold with a plastic bar end plug. These ones have closed ends. Does anyone remember pistol grips having closed ends??

  4. I got another Herrington Crusader II AWD Frame!

    Posted 28 Sep 2012

I got contacted by the owner of this frame quite some time ago. He had two NOS Crusader II frames and forks. We've been in contact for over a year now and I finally got one of the frames! It seems that the fork has been misplaced, but the seller told me that if he finds it, he'll shoot me a email.

I know what you're thinking, what about the other frame? Well, the other frame and fork has resurfaced on another site recently. The person that sold me this frame is the original owner of that frame and fork. It was left at his step dads house, who gave it to his brother in law to build for his son.

A little back information on the Herrington Crusader II AWD frames for those of you who don't know the history. There were only 50 AWD f/f set ups made by a company called Turner Drive Systems. The sellers step dad worked for Turner Drive Systems and these frames were in the warehouse well into the 2000's when he picked them up for his stepson. With this frame, the frame and fork that recently resurfaced, and my complete Crusader II bike, 3 of the 50 are accounted for and they're all white. There were two color options, white and yellow. The only yellow crusader 2 that I have seen is in the Herrington flyer that Chad Herrington sent me with a bunch of other goodies. I also have a crusader II fork in yellow, that is currently mounted to a Crusader I frame with a aftermarket Turner Drive system AWD set up on it.

Through my years of collecting Herrington stuff, I managed to acquire a NOS crusader II fork, original decal set, and the AWD components to restore this beauty to its original glory.

The question I have for you guys is, what color do I get this thing re-painted since the original finish is trashed? I was thinking a pearl white paint like GM uses on their cadillacs. Or maybe a color changing chameleon paint. I don't want to go back to the original color, I want to do something crazy and out of the box. Let me know your opinions!

Side note - I hosted my new pics with the site Steve! The other photos have been in my photobucket for a long time and I don't want to resize them and break the links that I have posted in other places...At least I'm trying! :whistling:
