Race inc survivor
Posted 15 Jun 2013
This is my 1977 Race inc with OG first gen decals. I bought it as a complete survivor on ebay in 2011. At first I did change some of the parts to make it look better.
Now I want to display it the way it was back then. I saved all the OG parts and reassembled it the way it was. It didn't have a front tire on it. That's the only thing I added to it.
The brake lever was broken during shipping and I couldnt find it. The bike was shipped to me all together.
I was amazed at the aprox 5" tall box on my door step when it arrived and the handle bar sticking out of it. I always save my purchase receipts and I added a pic of it. -
JMC JM Special tribute-replica build
Posted 23 Mar 2013
Jmc is one of my favorite brands. I have been working on this for about 2 years. This is a replica or tribute bike of Adam cox's 1976 JMC JM special race bike.
This is a part of JMC history that i think has been forgotten.
I suppose these bikes where tossed away after JMC started production.
I used a 1976 Race Inc frame that was already stripped before i got it. It has a home made brake bridge.
Its difficult to find any info on the JM special bikes.
This is the best picture i could find. There is a pic of Harry leary on one somewhere.
I tried to built it as correct as possible. The cranks in the picture look like 3 piece cranks with a three arrows chain ring?. Not shure on the stem, pedals, brakes or seat.
I used opc with three arrows ring. Redline forks
Araya 7b rims with Campy quick release hubs, Red dot tires.
Race Inc gold bars, weinnman brakes, cycle pro seat clamp
Unicanitor plastic seat. Schwinn pedals, Sedis chain,
Stem is made in japan not shure maybe ALPS.
I have been looking for a black frame pad for awhile now but no luck. For the frame color i used a dark blue. The fork decals should be larger. I used the smaller repro foil decals for the forks and cut the border of them. Jim M. sold me the other decals.
Anyone else have any info on these bikes please post it.

Harry Leary and JMC
Posted 23 Apr 2012
I found this pic on the web of Harry Leary riding for JMC possibly 1975-76 ?. Harrys bike has a front gusset. It looks like a FMF bike from picture not shure. Does anyone have any info on this bike. Maybe it was before Jim started making frames. -
