How about putting a 1 1/8th fork in a 1 inch tube? This what I want to do any thoughts. Did not intend to high jack.

So I by another bike, what's the big deal? I wanted something older anyway, this one fell into my lap and had to buy it. I think if I sold all of the extra parts I gathered, I should be able to find something else with alittle out of pocket.
