  2. 100 Mile Ride on a BMX with Motomags for MS

    Posted 15 Sep 2009

On Sept. 26th, I'm riding 100 miles for Multiple Sclerosis on my factory original 1979 BMX Mongoose with Motomag wheels - am I the first to attempt a 100 mile ride on Motomags?  If not, let me know. I honestly don't know if I can do the full 100 miles but I'm going to try.  I've been training and one time I did 80 miles but it was hard, 100 miles is a tough ride even on a 21 speed.

You can check it out what I'm doing here: http://www.bmxmongoose.com

But if I reach my fundraising goal, I promise to complete the entire 100 mile ride and afterwards, I'll probably crash into a tree. If you can't donate, I totally understand but if you'd still like to help, there's something you can give that doesn't cost a penny: a mouse-click.  Click the "digg" button on my website - The more "diggs" I get, the more exposure it will get and perhaps even more donations to MS too. If you have trouble finding the digg button, use this direct link: http://digg.com/othe...ake_BMX_History

I twittered Lance Armstrong about it but I don't think he was impressed.

But my reward will be the look on the multi-speed-cyclist's faces when an Old School BMX with Motomags rides past them at the 80 Mile Finishing Line and onward toward the final 20 Mile Century Loop!

If you'd like to donate, click here to donate whatever you can ($5 is the minimum): http://main.national.../...&fr_id=9950

    Thanks for listening!
