  1. More Pics...

    Posted 25 Oct 2009

It's been a while since I've posted pics of my collection.
I've been snapping some pics this past week and have posted a bunch of pics on Flickr.
I thought you guys might like to check 'em out.
Still adding more categories, so there are more pics to come.

  2. My Latest Build - '80ish Looptail Pk Ripper

    Posted 5 Aug 2005

This one is built to be a rider.
Although I may have to swap for some bigger bars (that's why I left the brake cable a bit long). I may also swap out the seat for a Elina Super Pro (quilted leather!).

The frameset was restored and powdercoated.
Everthing else is either NOS or new.
The yellow is actually a bit darker than it appears in these pics. Reducing the file sizes kinda washed out the yellow color.

To help save the frame from abuse, I used some of my HelixBMX Dropout Savers and I even made a set of Brake Bridge Savers. These prevent the small Dia-Compe washers from digging into the powdercoat.

    Parts...

    Grips - Oakley II
    Bars - Race Inc.
    Seatpost - Race Inc.
Stem - Helix BMX (Tuf Neck repro)
Brake - Dia Compe 890 (w/ Shimano pre-bent lever & Skyway Tuff pads)
Seat - Cycle Pro Shotgun II (used)
    Cranks - Takagi 175mm
    Chainring & Spider - Takagi 44t
Pedals - Helix BMX (Bob Reedy Ultimate Pro repro)
    BB - Tioga sealed
    Wheels - Skyway Graphite
Tires - Cheng Shin (Fat / Skinny combo)
    Freewheel - Shimano 16t
Dropout Washers - Helix BMX Dropout Savers
    Chain - Izumi (nickel plated)
Seat Clamp - Helix BMX (Cook style)

    What do you think?...
...and yes, I know the seat needs to be lowered...
