Woody's OG gold TrickStar was included in a new book about old school bikes.
I'm sure it'll be on everyone's wish list.

  3. Saxaphones

    Posted 23 Nov 2012

My daughter started playing the saxaphone about 2 years ago and has quite an ear for the music. She will be 11 years old in April 2013.
I was thinking of buying one for her for Christmas. I don't know much about them or anyone personally that can play one.
The sax her school gave her to use says "Bundy" as a brand name.
I just started looking aound on ebay and realized their's a lot more to this that I need to get advice about.
My daughter also plays the recorder and the keyboard (self taught!!).
She seems to pick up songs very quickly and is starting to read music.
So what's a good price range, manufacturer, anything else I should know?
Do they ever need to be tuned, like a guitar?
  4. Generators

    Posted 6 Nov 2012

I think I am the only member here from the storm ravaged Staten Island, New York.
While my home suffered slight tree damage from limbs falling onto my neighbor's fences, many neighborhoods suffered more severe damage.
People I know went 6-7 days with no power. Many by the beach lost their whole homes.
When bad weather strikes my family usually comes to my house. I am 1/2 a block from the highway and my house sits on a pretty high hill.
I have a 220 outlet that I never use, at the rear of the house. It would be a perfect place to run a cable through a window and backfeed the fusebox from a generator if I needed it.
The heat and hot water are the most important. Then keeping the food cold. Only one refrigerator in the kitchen.
Not sure how many watts, amps I need. Just looking for your advice on brands, fuel sources or other options others may have. Thanks in advance for your advice.
  5. Computer Help

    Posted 29 Aug 2012

Does it pay anymore to hold onto a 4-5 year old laptop anymore?
I have a nice Acers laptop with a camera, lots of windows programs, pictures.
The thing needs a new keyboard and integrated mouse.
Keys are slow and hard to press.
Wont scroll down with the down arrow.
    Mouse isn't much better.
    Help I love this thing.
