  1. stamped Ashtabula cranks & stems

    Posted 22 Feb 2013

Was just wondering what was the ealiest year that they started stamping Ashtabula on their stems and cranks? Figure someone on here will have an idea. Also what was the longest length of cranks they made and what year was that?

    Thanks for the info.
  2. Another Doug Sch......

    Posted 18 Jan 2013

Here is something that I picked up yesterday. Still trying to get more info on the company but know that Jim Dukes was the AA Pro rider of this frame for Schneider. Has built in chain tensioners.

If anyone knows any info Please chime in as I would love to learn more.

This is a first timning a 24" as well as a New School. Can't wait to get this built up. Might take a year or so.

As of right now I know that Doug made these frames out of Colorado and is a race car builder. Made bmx frame from 2005 - 2011. Made 20" and 24". All his frames were made of Chromoly. He even built frames for other companies like Redman etc....He made only a hand full of forks. There was a AA Pro team he had.

    -2011 Doug Schneider 24" frame & fork
    -Challenger stem
    -Chris King headset(blue)
    -Crupi cruiser bars
    -Donnie Robinson brakes(white)
-Shirt came with the deal as an extra

Will post up more info as I receive it.

Also got this Univega Super Strada frame for free from my buddies shop. They were going to toss it. Not sure much about it but thought I'd save it. Its in great condition.

    Posted 28 Sep 2012

This is what Ive come up with so far on the parts ive been looking for. Trying to get it back to the way I had it when I raced it. Rear mag isnt mounted as I bought it with out knowing it had the wrong axle so am waiting for a correct one. Cranks arent mounted either as im waiting for some new bearings, the ones mounted on it now are crap.
  5. Mid School Build

    Posted 16 Sep 2012

I know that this isnt the common bike that you see on here but thought Id post it up and show what im working on. This year has been slow on builds and had to sell alot of my collection but there is still a few left in the garage hanging. This one has been hanging for over a year now un complete and just now getting some of the parts to go on it. This was the same frame I bought back in the 90's when I was racing. I sold it years ago and just wished I never did as someone stole it from the guy I gave it to. Now im back on the hunt for all the parts that I rode it with. This frame took me years to find as I found that only about only 200-250 were ever made. They were only sold as a frame.

    Looking for

-1st Gen. Black Widow cranks in black
    -Answer bars in black
    -Black widow pedals in black
    -GT seat
    -seat post

    Parts already acquired

-97 Gary Fisher Pro Issue frame
    -Chris King head set
    -Answer aluminum forks
    -Profile stem 1 1/8(reversible)
    -Spin rims(First GEN)
    -Magura hydraulic rear brakes
    -Black widow Spider solid sprocket
