Topics I've Started

  1. Finally!!! I finally found one of my grail bikes. a MARK 1 Supreme

    Posted 22 May 2013

I have been searching for this frame for about 4 years. I finally found one thanks to my friends Jeff and Mike. It was powdercoated a nasty green. I then stripped the powdercoat off and found that it was originally light blue.
  2. 1970's Mini-Cycle Champion artifacts

    Posted 20 May 2013

As I was gathering parts for my CBR Mono-Cruiser I met this really cool guy who has all of Brian Myerscough's racing collection. Brian was a mini-cycle champion in 1974-75, turned pro when he was 16 yrs. old. I had the honor to look at this collection today and it was amazing. Stacks and stacks of mini-cycle mags, cycle news, dirtbike, you name it it was all there form the 60's to the 80's. He also had boxes of stickers and patches and jerseys, the collection was overwhelming. Here some photos of some of the stuff I picked up today. I will eventually buy all of his mini-cycle stuff but it is a bit pricey and very tough to find these days.

The blue XR below is a J&B factory racer.
  3. A tribute to CBR The CBR 26" Mono-Cruiser

    Posted 17 May 2013

Here is a little something I built to remember the best BMX company ever. I also built this for the Retro Class for the big show. It's all scratch built except the forks and wheels and bars. I used mild steel 1x2 and 1x1 box tubing and 3/4 chromoly tubing at the rear triangle and then machined some DOM rings and made a pivot point at the bottom bracket instead of welded tabs. I tried to make the bike look like Chris Cook's all alloy Mono. This will be painted blue and the rear triangle will be flat gold to look like old zinc plating. I know some of you guys won't like it but that's ok. My WWII Corsair pilot/dogfighter grandfather told me this long ago before he passed. If you don't like it, tuf-shit!!!hahaha

  5. What's for dinner?

    Posted 25 Apr 2013

Living in Riverside, Ca. there aren't too many good restaurants in our area. One night we drove for hours trying to find a Mediterranean restaurant or an Italian restaurant in the Inland Empire in general. So me and my girl said Fuck all of this!!! We are going to make this so called 5 star restaurant food. I guess we can call this topic, What's for dinner. I eat seaweed everyday,my girlfriend makes me drink pro-biotic shakes, alot of Indian food with natural herbs and blood cleansers and the list goes on. and I try my hardest to stay away from sugar and In n Out Burger. I guess just post what great dish that you or your loved one made for you. I'll start with what I had tonight.

Red wine braised lamb shanks with rosemary and thyme on a grilled polenta cake with lemon orange gremolata.

I went to the doctor because it hurts when I lift my arm. I waited for hours in the doctors office and he finally came in and examined me and said to me. Don't lift your arm. WTF.
