removing chrome from aluminum
Posted 7 Aug 2009
does this involve current?
or acid?
or both?
say i want to restore a chromed part back to original finish. is it possible the aluminum can be etched and destroyed by the process if left too long?
is it reasonable to believe it can and will look like it did before it was plated, if done right?
i dont own this part and i'm wondering wut to expect in the cost department for a dechrome from a plating shop. i know that some of you have had chrome removed from aluminum parts.. please share your experience.
tks, chris -

when abouts did they show up?
was there a 555 or anything in between the 333 and the sf mx-30?

can you say TANK?
Posted 17 Nov 2008
i built this for my brother and gave it to him for christmas some years ago... the pic was soon after. hes not a big rider, but has put it to good use... whether its transportation or a session here and there(gets his license back next year). even for a fringe rider he can bunnyhop this pig pretty good.
this is the heaviest bike i ever built. i pulled it out the other day and was pretty surprised as i forgot how stout it is. the 14mm axle in front is so ridiculous. i never weighed it but now i'm curious.
